Beating the Bounds
by: Stiubhard Og
When I was a boy
I beat the bounds of my known world
With the rattle of a stick on railings
The thump of a ball on a wall
The clatter and spin of a well-kicked can
The world was as wide as a bamboo bow shot
A stickleback swam in a glass jar
Through sun-warmed water
And home was always just a change of mind away
